Exclusive Floor Polishing is our sister company run by Adrian that specializes in floor maintenance. This includes us calling our clients once a year and seeing how their floor is wearing and offering them advice services to prolong the life of their floor.
Our clients generally request that we professionally maintain their oiled floors every 12-18 months depending on traffic and how the floor is maintained. It is recommended that floors are polished before the varnish has worn through to the bare timber.
The maintenance program consists of us burnishing and sealing your timber floors with Peerless Gemini Sealer Burnishing heats up the sealer currently on the floor and makes the timber a lot harder. This step also brings back the shine and luster of the floor and helps remove scuff marks. The machine we use for this process can be scene at the bottom of this page. There is no dust or sanding involved in this procedure.
Sealing your timber floor only applies for Oil Finishes. Application of Peerless Gemini Sealer is the most important step of sanding and polishing a floor which is finished in Tung Oil. The Gemini acts as a sacrificial coating on top of your timber floor, it provides a durable protective coating, which seals, protects and enhances the appearance of your floor. The Sealer should be applied 72 hours after the final coat of oil is applied.
It is recommended by Peerless Jal that the Gemini Sealer should be re applied every 6-12 months in high traffic areas. This will eliminate any full sanding & polishing requirements which can take longer and be alot more expensive.
